It is a beautifully shot and acted film. A very slow, quiet story that left me wishing for a bit more internal dialogue to help fill in the story.

slow moving at times; some events irrelevant

The actors playing the title roles were perfect for their parts. They fit just right. The movie was slow in parts but picked up in the end. Most people wouldn't realize it is a remake of an old film.

Somewhat scattered story. Definitely feels like it could have, and maybe should have, been a longer movie. Might have to check out the book.
