I absolutely loved the futuristic setting, but this movie didn't go where I thought it would. Instead of a tense space thriller, it was just a space love story. The whole "something went wrong" sub-plot seems lazily thrown together and doesn't make much sense. This is odd, because it is used as the reason for the whole plot's existence,

Passengers was a good movie but I believe the story could have been better; it seemed all over the place. The screenplay was perhaps the element which lacked the most, the directing was okay but was also lacking at certain times and th acting was good but sometimes bad. So I had a lot of questions during and after the movie and a lot of up and downs. I still enjoyed myself very much; the story and the visuals were very good. I just believe the movie could have been better, I saw the potential.

Great visuals but the story fell flat for me. It never really earned the emotional payoff it set up. It felt more like a dressed up Lifetime movie.
