Thought it was a solid sequel that added to the original. I like me some apocalyptic theamed movies and this definitely filled that box. Thought the filming location was beautiful and well shot. The cast is great with Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin reprising their roles and the newcomer Roman Griffin Davis who is from films like Jojo Rabbit and the Long Walk.

It was a nice wrap up to the first movie. If you hadn’t seen the first movie, you could still follow along but probably wouldn’t think the movie was good.

It continues the story, and adds more action and reveals more about the family. I found myself often looking around at the well done, detailed surrounding in some scenes. Sometimes it felt like it was just jumping from one scene or encounter to the next, but each put forward a different element.
