Essentially a combination of Robocop and Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell features some excellent performances, particularly by the leads, but nothing that happens is particularly surprising. The fights tend to drag on too long - a common failing of current action films - and were often difficult to see clearly.

I was hoping for more action based from the comics and video game. It's almost a white-washed film.

It was entertaining, but the story moved slowly. There were unexplained holes in the story... why did Motoko run away from her mother to write anti-technology manifestos when her mother seemed very lovely and not all that pro-tech! And why was a "Caucasian" face deemed to be more "ideal" when it was a Japanese brain that was put into the cyborg body! I thought that wasn't cool.

I loved the concept of the movie and the graphics were good but there were tomes when it was dragging a little (slow) but i would go pay to see it.
