Nice and creepy.

I loved this movie! I saw a ton of people walking out, but come on! HOW DID YOU PEOPLE NOT KNOW WHAT YOU WERE GETTING INTO!Regardless, the visuals and music alone make this an incredible movie experience. Some wooden acting I believe at times, but not enough to take the movie down too much.

Great movie but not for everyone. Lots of awkward scenes for the non-cinefiles. Some parts very funny in a dark way.

Visually, the movie is powerful and stunning. The score was nearly flawless. Unfortunately I thought the dialogue muted some of the other amazing things about the film; much of the dialogue was obvious and overwritten. I.e., "[I would ask the moon] can you see me?"; "[What's it like to be beautiful?] It's everything."; "I don't want to be them, they want to be me."; and the entire "My mother said I was a dangerous girl" scene. The scenes with no, or less dialogue were much more powerful, because visually the story came across for the most part; the extra dialogue just bogged it down. There was too little character development for Jesse, and I especially thought that everything she did after the makeup artist comes on to her lacked motivation. I loved the scene of Jena Malone lying in the grave, however I truly believe the film could end with the scene of her watching the yow girls shower. It was obvious what had transpired, and the remainder of the film lessened the impact. I really hope the producers will consider fixing the dialogue before Neon Demon is released, because I think with some retouching it could be an amazing film!
