I thought the cinematography was spectacular. Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard did a great job of showing the emotion necessary for this tragedy. Unfortunately, the Shakespearean English along with the Scottish accents were difficult for me to understand but I am not familiar with many Shakespeare works. Overall, I would recommend this movie to friends who enjoy Shakespeare.

beautiful and well-acted film - don't think it will do well commercially in the US due to the old english language, which can be tedious to decipher - this film will appeal to a very specific & small crowd

A bit hard to understand some of the movie just because the characters spoke in the tongue of that time period. I really did enjoy how the movie seemed very realistic versus cheesy fake battle and death scenes

Visually stunning but otherwise rather tedious. The bleakness was unrelenting (the porter scene was sadly omitted), and I was never drawn into the story because I didn't care about any of the characters. I know this play well, so I didn't have difficulty with the dialogue, but I heard several other groups of people say they did.
