There are several stories in the movie (becoming a sniper, the willingness to sacrifice everything to protect your country, recovery from the war) but none of them is fully developed.

it was a bit long and had more "combat" scenes than "non combat " scenes, which was not the impression that the trailer gave. Also there was a lot of mumbling when the actors spoke making it impossible to understand what was being said. Overall it was well acted and a very real eye opener.

I found Bradley Cooper's performance solid and strong, as well as Sienna Miller's.Surprisingly moving at the end, I was glad that it addressed the shock and trauma that soldiers return with, having seen war.

Very good, could have been amazing.Powerful.. but predictable. Moving.. but at parts, moved too fast. Packed with fascinating depictions of military duties and life.. but filled with some surprising lacklustre attention to detail. (Babies looked and felt like dolls, bullet wounds look shitty on black garb, antagonists were cartoony, etc).
