It really felt like I was watching a play, which I realized it was based on.It also felt like it's time-frame; the 1950s, but in this semi-poor black society.The performances were excellent!

An interested play didn't make a good "cinematographic" movie. It is very rich in dialogue, monologue but it is not action to moving the movie.For me, it was difficult to understand the accent of actors.The movie is "too American", if you don't know about America of fifties..the movie doesn't show "in flashback" any actions for main character are so many frustrations.

Though the acting was good, the movie left me wanting more... it seemed like there was something missing. I will not see it again.

The movie was intensity Dramatic and somewhat Dark in the beginning but it carried through to the end with little change , overall fair but a long way to go for a sad Ride .
