Overall I enjoyed this film. The story was wonderful. However, the background accompanying music didn't fit well with the film. It detracted from it, especially in scenes that included the heptapods talking. And whomever was in charge of the shots was in love with Amy Adams. There are more close ups of her and her face in this movie than there are in several of her other movies combined!!

An interesting suspense drama with a great twist. This got a 3 instead of a 4 from me only because it' more drama then sci-fi.

A good story overall, but a bit slow in places.If you stick with it, the overall premise is a good take away about the importance of patience and communication.
