It is not a horror movie, and there was nothing significant about it because all you were doing was waiting for the next person to get shot. The movie was kind of boring sine you already knew who the last two was going to be. The only twist in the story is that most people assumed that the main character would survive but instead he died. However, we did know it was going to be one of the two.

Two very good actors in good roles. But it was a very sick movie.

Everything they changed from the book made it worse. This movie wasn't able to show Ray's constitution faltering in the way the book did. The storylines and characters added made the film much less effective. The story is supposed to be bleak, so the ending fell flat. Some good performances, didn't love the writing. Pretty gruesome

It cut out my favorite parts of the book and added some weird political commentary that didn’t quite work. It was way too schmaltzy and the sentimental moments didn’t hit because they weren’t earned. The acting was also a bit hokey. The actors were too old. It was just not very good.
