Acting 10/10 Story 5/10

Very dialogue heavy, without much suspense or psychological thriller typically known of a Stephen King work. Underwhelming ending without much context of the winner walking away in the darkness alone.

The main character's actors were very good. Unfortunately, the plot and some of the dialogue not so much. I admit I'm not a big fan of Stephen King. I didn't understand the purpose of the walk, the scenarios they passed were not realistic, and the ending was confusing. I found the bodily function scenes unnecessary and gross. The scenes where the boys were shot were gory and gratuitous.

It was a gruesome movie. The Long Walk showed a group of men with different motives but basically to make a better life. The men developed friendships and their determination to complete the walk. It doesn't indicate weather each walker was aware of the rules for the walk. It was gruesome for the cruelty in the manner of deaths.
