Great movie. Didn't like the ending though!

A very moving depiction of the horrific struggles of the Armenian people. Beautiful cinematography and very-believable performances by all. So glad I had an opportunity to see this!!

The Promise did a great job showing the heart, strength and determination of the Armenian people and the few Turkish people who tried to help them. I understand Mr. Kirkorian's decision to use big name actors so more people would be tempted to see the film and they did a good job; I would have preferred to see people of Armenian descent portraying my ancestors. The cinematography was superb.
