Would say a 3.5 out of 5. Objectively really well done and executed. Preference wise not my full cup of tea. I know it is based off a book but I was really into it until the start of the 2nd act and the “real movie” started. Just not a plot that really drew me in. Personally could not fully emotionally invest in the Rocky. I don’t know if its because it was a “rock spider” and not a person or the use of the voice or other devices/tricks to make us invest in him felt like we’re all done before but it was difficult for me to really get into. Def getting nom for sound or trying to.

Super funny balanced with genuinely heartfelt moments. Very well shot and great to watch with a crowd. Some stuff I started to question the logic of, but quickly abandoned that to enjoy the true heart of the movie, friendship.

Overall it’s good, quite funny, a bit long.

The story and acting was engaging. We enjoyed the movie and give it a thumbs up
