Story was heavy but expected. Jessica Chastain was great in this role but storyline had a few plots holes. The ending is happy but we don't know how the husband found his way back to Poland or why the general did not report her when she was caught. I would have enjoyed more backstory for the characters.

The film was really very touching and realistic. The sound could have been better. Sometimes the lead actress' dialog was difficult to understand because of her heavy accent. This period in history was so awful and I was happy to know that there were many people who fought back in their own way as this film was based on a true story about real people.Normally with films of this nature (Holocaust), I would be sobbing, as I did watching Shindler's List. This movie did not have that affect. I recommend the film to friends and family. The acting was really good. Loved the animals !

I enjoyed Zookeeper's Wife immensely.It was very well acted and the story real . The way the animals were well trained and the story of Polish resistance. I hope the ones in the movie of the animals weren't real hurt. Definetlyrecommend for any one to see.
