It was a very beautifully shot film. We felt that the actions of the actors, and sets were very time appropriate. Was very pleased that we saw it.

I enjoyed the attention to the historic details. The same story taking place in the current time wouldn't be nearly as interesting. It's not a bad movie my any measure. Other than being a period piece, it just seems to lack any extra to make me wanting to come back for more. This might be different if I had more interest in the lesbian love affair genre.
