It provided insight into Churchill’s personality, which was great.

Gary Oldman was great in this role. That said, he was difficult to understand. I think the title didn't get folded into the story line well. More background about who's who could have been in the beginning to give us a better insight of who all the players (opposition, key figures..) were.

It was little slow

The movie brought up a part of English World War II that I was not aware. That was actually the best part of the movie for me. The back and forth rivalry between Churchill and Halifax & Chamberlain. I believe the stand out acting came from Hannah Steele who plays the young secretary for Gary Oldman's Churchill. I have heard all of the press about possible Oscar nominations for Gary Oldman for his portrayal of Winston Churchill. I personally felt that Brian Cox did a better job in movie "Churchill" that came out earlier this year. Oldman's portrayal felt like a caricature of Churchill.
