tedious. Vanity piece. No where near Scorsese’s best...probably his worst.

I have not yet come to a final decision or conclusion regarding my feelings or opinions about the movie. The movie had too many issues & feelings to consider as well as trying to understand the logic for what was portrayed & the message the director was attempting to convey. After seeing it, I could not immediately say if I liked it or not! One has to asses their own religious belief 1st.

Got Faith??? This movie will get a Oscar nomination. Great visual scenes, good acting and a Segway for a lot of discussions Personal beliefs.

The story was quite amazing. The detailed settings created for this time period were extraordinary. The movie took so much time to build the story. I believe the story could have been equally impressive with less time getting to the point of discovering the missing priest. More details of that relationship would have added to the overall understanding.
