Amazing

I really liked this movie but I think that it went over my kids heads. Was it based on some sort of folktale?

Visually awesome. Excellent animation and artistry. Story left something to be desired (I understand this was a children's movie, but there wasn't much character development, and the back-story seemed forced).

The animation is 10 stars. The movie overall was 3. The story was unclear and depressing. The visuals were disturbing.. and I'm an adult! I had hoped it would be uplifting and meaningful. It was not in my opinion.
