The movie was very long and slow to develop. Beautifully shot, visually impressive, and fantastic acting. The story was compelling, but with the pace being slow, it was sometimes hard to maintain focus and follow along.

The movie does well in depicting the religious persecution that the Japanese christian's endured during their inquisition period.

The movie was informative and had a few humorous moments. I really enjoyed the ending which showed the possibility that the Priest still believed in his faith even though he could not demonstrate it within the country of Japan

The performances in this movie were wonderful and many times, the stakes made scenes extremely engaging. The movie was a little long and dragged a bit during the middle. However, I really enjoyed it. Three stars is a positive review for me.
