While I appreciate the story this movie is trying to tell, I found it extremely slow moving. A hour and ten minutes into it I followed others and left. I don't know whether the priest ever reached their goal. I feel this movie would best serve a premium TV network.

Good period piece on something of which I had previously know nothing: religious persecution in Japan. Andrew Garfield's acting was awesome; Liam Nieson was just OK. Long movie, but it actually went by pretty fast as the material was interesting.

Overall great movie, however very slow in the first half of the movie.

The movie was okay, especially in the first hour. The plot then continued for much too long and it felt like it wasn't getting to the point. Overall, it was an okay movie.
