I enjoyed the movie but in comparison to the first one it lacked the same spontaneity. There was too much going on plot wise with no real focal point and what made the first movie visually interesting was used haphazardly in this one. The cast was great and it had some nice moments, but didn't leave me wowed.

I felt like there was too much pandering to the previous movie, but overall it was pretty good.

The story is a dark one ... but one that I suspect is grounded in a very real life style, all be it a life style that is foreign to me. It is poignant, yet very humorous at times. Going home is often a melancholy experience, for any number of reasons, as I well know having stayed away from my "hometown" for 30 years before returning for our 40th high school reunion. People change ... but not that much.
