It drew me in and kept me there. The acting for both the main characters was superb!

I absolutely LOVED Maudie. Everyone has to see it!!! She is such an Inspiration and I still feel transported back into that peaceful time.

Maudie is a 2017 film about Maude Lewis, Canada's iconic and successful east coast folk art painter. Although some of us looking at her life might think that Maudie experienced much hardship, she was, for the most part, a very happy woman, who rose above her physical challenges and emotional traumas. Sally Hawkins deserves to win an Oscar for her portrayal of Maude Lewis, who defied all the odds.
