Good movie, well made and interesting history lesson but needlessly too long. Scorsese isn't happy to just make a movie; he insists on making an EPIC.

It was a very challenging movie. I am a Christian and am thankful I did not have to live in times shown in the movie where I could be killed for my faith. It was a bit long though as the movie kept going and going.

Good movie, good acting, great scenery, but too long

It was very long, but the acting (by Andrew Garfield especially) was Oscar worthy. The torture scenes were extremely hard to watch. The movie was very well done and I am glad I saw it. The ending was quite depressing and awful.
