The performance and music was enjoyable, but the storyline was very safe and didn't share anything new or interesting.

Great Micheal Jackson impersonator. The problem here is they just retold a story we’ve seen before. The movie ends in 1988. Granted, there was some foreshadowing of his pain killer addiction, but there was so much more that could have been told, even if it would have ended up heavily biased to spin all the controversies in the best of light.

If you want to connect with his music it works. But it also feels like only 1/2 his story.

I thought the movie was very well done. It did not just glorify him as a super star . It showed what happened in his life that cause him to be the person he became. He also talked about what he wanted in life. For the people who didn't or did know Michael Jackson the movie gives you a realistic insight into his personal life
