Loved Milly’s performance! She is truly the standout performance in the film, and her characterization of Kara is really moving. Beyond that I found the screenplay to be the weakest part of the film. We revisited the same scenes in slightly different places again and again and again. Unfortunately the bar fights weren’t visually distinct either so these scenes tend to feel like deja vu. Also felt like there was no strong main theme in the score which was disappointing. The needle drop choices did not seem to fit or add emotional depth.

Well made and performed but ultimately is not a must see big screen event like Superman was.

The acting was good. Silly was a great choice for Kara. The actress that played Ruthie was a great choice. The story was just ok. We were never told why Krem wanted the swords or why Ruthie's families makes them. Kara's power is pretty close to Clark's and she struggled with all the opposition until the last action scene. I understand that she is suffering from survivors remorse but willing to battle to save her dog but not relate to a little girl who just lost her family felt odd.

It was all pretty good. Could've used more action. Never heard of a green sun being a thing in the DC universe. That's new to me. Jason Mamoa was great as Lobo. He was born to play that role. Excited to see what comes next for Supergirl.
