It started out pretty good , but then it bogged down about 1/2-2/3 in . Fell asleep !

Like sands through the hourglass, these two movies feel like they took days of my life. I did not read the books, so I'm coming at this from a moviegoer's perspective, but I was rather bored with both movies. The story seemed to telegraph every coming "turn" so much so that nothing was a surprise. Part 2 was more entertaining, but I think I would only recommend these films to someone who has read, and enjoyed, the books.

I think it's a film that should be viewed in Cinema, if you don't have an amazing sound system.
