It was long, full of hatred, battles and special effects but worst of all is that it was very disjointed and difficult to follow if you didn't read the book.

Very long, very violent and very difficult to follow if you haven't read the book and/or seen Part 1.

Critics are wrong as usual. This movie was so long and so boring. Better than the first one but still... Nothing was explained, things seemed to happen without context and the assumption that viewers would simply understand the thought processes behind each character as if all has been given proper development. I've never seen a movie this long that has sufficient time to develop characters, yet didn't. There's so many slow motion scenes and the film drags. The "world building" is simply pretentious.

Wonka was more fun!!
