It was fine. Nothing super exciting but if people are looking for an action movie to kill some time this works.

Gerard Butler cannot act seriously. I did not find his relationship to his wife and the other heroic acts as believable. The kid actor also was not believable. He looked as if he was told to say something emotional but was like he was reading a script. Some of the things that happened to them were slightly believable but the plane crash near the end pushed it. The very ending seemed it was added to give the viewer hope it did not.

Movie was “ok”. - typical world is ending movie in some ways. Felt like there were too many coincidences at times. Perhaps it’s a disaster movie, perhaps it’s a family coming together movie, perhaps both and that’s the problem. At times the movie was trying to do too much abs I’m not sure it succeeded. When I looked at it from an action and effects point of view, then it was entertaining which is why I gave it 3 stars.
