It's fun. It'd be better as a movie though. the singing elves was weird, too.

The visuals were absolutely stunning. Despite some of the scenes feeling very forced and out of order, it had a very "Charlton Heston, 10 Commandments" feel to it. Down to some of the dialog and the sand storm in the desert.

I liked Guyladriel

We left after the first 90 minutes, so maybe the parts we missed were amazing and would have balanced the first part. We loved the first two seasons and looked forward to this one, but it lacks the magic and high degree of excellence that preceded it. Dialog wasn't great, CGI was surprisingly poor, and with Sauron as the subject, it was exceedingly dark. Even scenes with Harfoots and "Gandalf?" were not on the same level of charm as before. I feel like production was rushed and key people (producers or writers) weren't there to uphold the vision.
