Tell the showrunners that they aren't better storytellers than Tolkien. I understand they need to fill in a few gaps and maybe cut out some details to tell the story visually, but when is Amazon going to learn fans don't want screenwriters butchering celebrated fantasy works? Tell Rafe Judkins the same thing with Wheel of Time because he's doing the same damn thing. Adapt the works, stop making new shit up and going rogue. No real Tolkien fan enjoys this. At this point I think I'm watching out of morbid curiosity of how far off the rails these dumbasses are going to go.
