If you’re okay with accepting this as extremely high-quality fanfic and letting go of some of your book-informed expectations of lore accuracy, this is a solid show. Generally well-acted and a fun reimagining of Tolkien’s world. Could’ve benefitted in a big way from lighting/color corrections in the darker scenes where action was all but indiscernible

Unfortunately a big disappointment. I had hopes season 2 would improve on the flaws from season 1, but it's not very enjoyable. I’m a huge LOTR fan and really wanted to like this, but the script, most acting, and story is just not very good. Not sure if I’ll finish season 2.

The first episode of S2 gets off to a slow start. There’s plenty of drama but little action, to the point of being dull. Also, I don’t know if it was the theater or the show itself, but the picture was very dark and hard to discern any detail. Which is a shame, because the production value is so high. But it doesn’t mean much if you can’t see anything.
