The raw, honest voice of Cheryl Strayed that was present in the book comes comes to life in an award-worthy performance by Reese Witherspoon. Although true to the book, the movie brings to the surface the emotional conflicts and ultimate triumph of the protagonist with vivid clarity.

I loved it - perhaps even a smidge more than the book. Visually it was stunning, and the emotional aspects were so well presented. I'm recommending it to all of my friends.

Real, rich with emotion, realistic and touching. When I left the theater I was feeling like anything is possible.

It was a very heart felt picture of someone losing themselves after the loss of a loved one and their efforts to find themselves again.
