it was a nice movie

Superb--the material could have produced a sentimental empowerment story, but the director's artistry, Hornby's script, and remarkable acting by Witherspoon, Dern, and Hoffman lift this film to Pacific Crest trail Heights.

Great film. Loved the book, loved the movie. Usually I prefer one over the other but this is a rare case where both stand equally as their own work.

excellent character studying, and a sharp look at the ability to fight against the odds to accomplish a goal.
