it is semi problematic with the meaning of the story. i understand the message it is attempting to tell, but the overarching problems reign supreme. why does cassie rely on the police at the end of the film, when it is implied the police did not believe nina? where does that decision make sense at all? there are many choices made in this that are meant to seem “girlboss” and empowering, but ultimately fail to truly apply to situations women realistically experience. i do think the performances in this are incredible, but such talent is wasted on this fake-deep film.

The main actress is very good. Other than that the movie is kind of cliche, but not that much. The end of the movie could be unexpected. However, i would recommend it.

It was fine, nothing close to the praise it's getting. Having watermarks didn't help my experience either. Promoting this as spreading awareness for sexual violence on college campuses' was a nice try but it's obvious this is a ploy for Oscars. It's a fine movie but nothing I'm going to remember all that well.
