The movie takes the viewer in the direction that Cassie has been possibly abused and has taken to testing out men at bars. The movie makes it a little hard to relate and understand her life choices. Once you think you know where she is going the movie takes a sharp turn. \rIt helps others to think about who people are and what they tell themselves, but in the end I had a hard time with the ending.

I enjoyed the movie and would definitely recommend this to others. However, I do have mixed feelings about the content. Is taking advantage of a blacked out/drunk person wrong, absolutely. Is not pursuing a crime involving such a situation wrong, absolutely. Is drinking to the point of blacking out, on the regular, and expecting nothing bad to happen okay, NO.

I think it captures the helplessness and anger women feel in these situations regarding sexual assault. I was shocked at Cassie's death, but I think that it ultimately made for a more impactful ending. Some of the dialogue was a little too heavy-handed, but I think the conversations around the rape were overall pretty realistic. Usually I'd find the use of bright, pop imagery for something as grave as this subject matter a little odd, but I can understand why Emerald Fennell used that kind of imagery for the movie after the Q&A. Overall would recommend!
