The film peaks in its first third, and after that becomes more conventional than I would have liked, but it's still a good time. For a disaster movie starring Gerard Butler, it has a nice amount of depth. Could have taken itself a little less seriously at times, left a little more room for fun, but not bad.

It was good but it seemed like there were some sub plots missing... they should have showed more of the destruction. The romance between butler and his wife seemed forced.... didnt seem like they were connected. Not a bad film but could have had a little more details
