The story is ok, but the movie esthetics is so disturbingly creepy! Not for me

While aesthetically pretty, this movie strips away so much of the nuances of the book that became a flat story that was hard to buy into. Chemistry between Robbie and Elordi was also lacking. By the end I was waiting for it to end.

I have not read the book, but I felt that the story fell flat. There was no one to root for. I have heard that Heathcliffe was meant to be a person of colour - and I do think that would've made the story more meaningful and make more sense. The direction was beautiful and I loved the fun sets and costumes, but the rest I felt was not very compelling. It was also too long - it could've been cut for time for sure.

Terrible movie - the second half was cut up where events passed but all we see is sex, over and over as if the book was one of those harlequin books. I was ready to walk out early
