A loose adaptation of the novel that turns the story into a tragic love story, with none of the themes or motifs that turned the novel into a long-enduring classic. The imagery and sets were stunning of course, but the depth of the novel was lacking in the film.

I loved the scenography and all the dresses but this interpretation of a classic novel was far from adherent to the original story and location. I really missed the part of an old Hitcliff tormented by Cathy's spirit. I also don't understand the casting choice, feels like two very famous actors of the moment were picked, but I don't think they fit the role (especially Margot Robbie looks too adult to feature a young and spoiled woman). The alternance of the music of the soundtrack also resulted weird.
