It's hard to like a movie with such an unredeemable father at the center of the plot and especially when the movie is trying to make us feel for him and to top that up you also want to make it a wacky road trip comedy. I won't even talk about the scene in the detention center which is a mockery of the current immigration situation for which I'm guessing the filmmakers gave themselves a pat on the back and a smug look between them. I only gave them two stars because I think the cast was not bad

A few parts I enjoyed but as a whole I didn't feel like it was a great movie. It didn't have a good balance between the emotional/drama side and comedic side. I didn't really feel engaged or connected with either character. To be honest I felt even more sorry for Asher at the end. He's supposed to be okay with a simple apology from a dad who emotionally rejected him his entire life while his brother gets a dramatic story and a plane? Nah!

Predictable. Wanna-be Hangover. Not a lot of depth in story plot.
