The scenery was absolutely beautiful. Bichir & Pledge acting was excellent The story was interesting but didn’t seem fully developed or executed. Why didn’t we see a flashback of the car crash when Miguel shared that on his deathbed? Would have helped connect to the pain and regret Miguel experienced during that scene. And it fell flat when Edee shared what happened. An hour and 20 min in we find out what happened to her family but it was just a one-liner. I didn’t feel the connection between them during this scene. Why wasn’t this done as Edee was sitting with him, consoling Miguel?

I liked it. I wish her and Miguel could’ve been together but him showing life mattered was great.

I had to suspend reality quite a bit to accept this film. I continued to think of problems that would occur if someone (a woman apparently with no outdoor experience) actually did this without a vehicle to get to town for more supplies. You can't kill and grow everything in this era. And the garbage one would create? What would happen to that?

slow story. unrealistic planning for sustained life in remote cabin. Big reveal as to what tragedy Edee was escaping was not necessary to withhold.
