It was okay. I expected more.

Wuthering Heights was beautiful—almost too beautiful. It felt like a series of stunning images tied together by a barely perceptible narrative and little dialogue. The tension and focus on physical desire are striking, and the costumes, cinematography, and chemistry are excellent. Yet I struggled to connect with this overly modern version. I found it unsettling—perhaps intentionally so, to portray a toxic, impossible love—but I’m left with mixed feelings.
