Very poignant story about adapting to survive in a foreign country. It was a bit long and slow moving but a good story.

Often filmmakers rush through films; trying to pal in all the wow, crazy, intense, action. Not so with Silence. It was slow paced, like a book, gradually taking the viewer on a journey, savoring moments and experiences that the characters had. There were beautiful shots, tense scenes, and occasional bits of comic relief. It wasn't perfect but it was interesting, enjoyable, and very well acted.

Incredibly average.

Good rendition of the book it was based on, historically accurate, but slow moving at times. Cinematography was excellent. Actors were very much in character.
