My opinion of The Mauritanian is that it reminds me of slavery against the African American people and how America/Government still will not own up and take full responsibility for their actions. Thank you.

I really enjoyed the film. I think it is a very important piece of history that everyone needs to see, especially in this day and age.

For historical purposes, I would recommend this movie. It is important that the crimes that occurred at Guantanamo be known. However, as fine as the cast is, it is a very slow moving movie, and does not elicit the emotion I was expecting it to.

Extremely moving and passionate movie. The acting is spectacular, the story gut wrenching. I think everyone should watch this movie and realize the monstrosity that Gitmo truly is. The USA should be ashamed for the handle of the post 911 era. A country so proud to claim "freedom and justice for all" should take a hard look in the mirror and fix an inhumane and unlawful situation. It was very disappointing to find out that despite being found innocent, the Mauritanian had to spend 7 more year in Guantanamo. What kind of justice is that? This movie is an excellent testimony and needs to be a required viewing for every American. Tahar Rahim deserves and Oscar for his amazing performance. Thank you for making this movie. I am so glad I got to watch it in a screening preview.
