The low-quality acting and unnatural dialogue was distracting.

I did not get scared. if you look at the gal or the bf. they are huffing and puffing and then STONE face like nothing scars them. It was off putting to me how they were so confident of knowing what to do. so the movie felt choppy and staged/directed. I even saw make up on the girl in the morning. not so real. I jumped when the dog barked and the eel/snake went by.

It was kind of predictable, not as scary or suspenseful as the first one.

Honestly, this movie presented nothing new. VERY formulaic. I was really hoping to get chills and be scared, given that I haven't seen the originals, but I was highly disappointing.
