Too incoherent to fully understand the storyline. The setting and costumes were excellent.

The movie was too long! The plot was strong at the beginning of the movie but completely lost by the end.

Despite the fact that the film does justice to the novel on which it was based, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I was disturbed by the meandering plot, the sleaze, the length. Guess I like my films in a tidier package. I can, however, appreciate the fine acting displayed by most of the major players and the 1970s stoner vibe the film was able to capture. Doc's telephone was the best!

Previews made the movie out to be interesting. Got to the theater for the Preview, disappointed. I was expecting more. Great selection of cast members though.
