The first 30 or so minutes seemed overdone and cheesy. It picked up from the moment he signed up for the military.

I loved the message of this movie. The battlefield action and drama was outstanding. Felt very uncomfortable, though, with the front end of the movie. Dialogue was hokey, lighting was too perfect, introduction to all the characters felt heavy-handed. And the military court scene was pure fiction.

Great story, but much too violent. The epilogue was excellent.

Extreamly violent, was over the top with the gore. Think a movie can portray a violent scene without it being extream. If given an option I would give this movie a 3.5 star.
