Great story line, I could only watch 20 minutes at the beginning and 20 minutes at the end. War scenes were too brutal and I could not watch them. My husband loved the whole movie. . 5 for men 2 for woman

The movie had an excellent message, but I felt that it was either too sappy (chick-flick) or too gory (stereo-typically for the men). Men would not want to sit through the first half of chick-flick to get to the "good stuff." I don't see a woman going to see this and appreciating the gore. While the act of war is horrible, I am sure that this movie does not even touch the experience of war.

This was a pretty gory film but a very well told story. I don't usually like war movies, but this was very well done. Very sad to think that is what actually happened to all those men. But, thank God, for private Doss!

Majority of the movie was good. But some of it wasn't very realistic. Looks like they tried to hard. Where was the cussing?
