Amazon gambled big with this massive undertaking, and while season 1 was quite restrained and bursting with unreached potential, season 2 has proved that the gamble has paid off. This show just gets better with each episode, and it seems like they are executing their 5-season plan very well.

An improvement over the last season for sure, but plotlines are still too narratively dissonant to have enough time to care about any particular character. There’s a lot going on and rightfully so, but the current formula of bouncing between plot threads just prevents any organic momentum.

Great story line and play and acting. There's 0 diversity in the characters though, and I don't mean just Black actors but there's no Asian, Hispanic, Indian - like literally no diversity... and middle earth is vast. It's possible. Also scenes were pretty dark and it was hard to see some scenes. Felt like last season of Game of Thrones trying to see what was happening.

A huge improvement on the first season - it seems like it let go of being prestige, so to speak, and as such become more entertaining and fun.
