Definitely extrapolates from what exists in book canon, but I've generally enjoyed the story, and the work on setting, costumes, etc is second to none.

Very beautiful production and well acted. However, the invitation said it would start at 7 and that we should be there early but it didn't actually start until 7:30 and I don't think a single person arrived after 7. Also, even with validation, parking was $5. I know, the movie was "free" (I do pay for Amazon Prime of course) but I think you could use a different venue with free parking and where it wasn't a half-mile walk to and from the theater from the parking lot.

Very good. So far, season 2 seems better than 1. Still, it's not the LOTR trilogy but what is?

Biggest complaint. It starts on a flashback AND there's no indication it's a flashback. It left me utterly confused until I figured out it was a flashback... 15ish minutes into the show. That being said, I did enjoy it. It's beautiful. The story is interesting. I enjoy a good fantasy story. I might take issue with them attaching Lord of the Rings to it but overall, enjoyable. I'm excited to see where the characters are going. I only saw the first two episodes at a pre-screening. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy epic.
