Sets a somewhat heartless (& not somber (i.e., highly-audible screening responses)) mood & certainly "harbors" no love for Buddhism (which could or could not be read as racist) -- However, that's potentially the "real" arc of the history. In a sense, not much one can say except that the background of its narrative would be an interesting read.Harsh yet ephemeral photog (unique, good, choices).

It was an excellent movie showing how Japan looked at christianity in the 1600's.

Very long! However, the characters played their roles incredible well. Liam Neeson does not play a huge role.

This was a very nice looking film. The story was great although at times its seemed to drag. The subtle hints of comedy kept me alert in times when my mind started to wander. I really enjoyed the concept of the movie and the feelings & thoughts were evoked as a result.
